Simonna Milinytė, a gifted singer and actress with an impressive portfolio, shockingly revealed details about a dreadful car crash she fell victim to in November.
The 29-year-old versatile artist, usually recognized for her radiant golden locks, shared chilling images of her and the ER cubicle she was treated at, in several Instagram posts.
Simonna, renowned for her role in NCIS: Los Angeles, went on to recount the bone-chilling account of her ordeal in an exclusive conversation.
“It has been a gruelling time. I was just returning home from a late-night music session, and while navigating through the freeway, I felt an enormous impact,” the star spoke about the shocking incident.
A reckless, SUV-owning driver slammed into my vehicle from behind. The collision was significantly forceful, causing me to hit my forehead against the steering wheel and my left shoulder was severely injured by the seatbelt,” she described the horrific experience.
Simonna bore numerous injuries in the aftermath.
“I was severely bruised all over my body, including my forehead, shoulder and abdomen,” Simonna candidly disclosed.
However, the troubles did not end here. She had another trick up her sleeve, waiting to surprise her. “A couple of days post the accident, the severity of the injuries became apparent. It was then I noticed increased bruising and swelling on the right side of my abdomen. All of it seemed to focus around where the seatbelt lock was located,” she explained.
She further recounted, “The pain went from mild to torturous and got to a stage where it was inevitable for me to revisit the ER. Once at the hospital, the medical staff undertook numerous tests and scans. It was an excruciatingly long and tiresome day and night at the ER.”
She was utterly baffled by her diagnosis.
Sounding slightly bemused, Simonna stated, “What really astounded me was the continuous X-Rays and tests of the chest when all my pain was concentrated around my shoulder, neck, and abdomen. It was as if they were deliberately sending me off for another lung test.”
The mystery behind the unnecessary chest examinations was solved soon enough. “It was not until the CT scan report was handed over to me when I found that my lung had shockingly collapsed,” the Lithuanian divulged.
“And this diagnosis finally resulted in a call to my lawyer,” she added ominously.
“The legal proceedings are still underway, my attorney’s team is laboriously working on the case. I am also regularly visiting for treatment. But the details of all this can’t be shared in the public domain. Luckily, I have a dedicated team working on this to get me through these tough times,” Simonna reasoned.
“What upset me the most is not being able to sing. This setback affected my third album as all recordings had to be postponed…” she expressed her disappointment.
“The man behind the accident had no justifiable reason. ‘I just looked down for a second’, and God knows what happened, he slammed right into my car,” she concluded, narrating the statement of the other driver involved.
