On a brief hiatus from her Future Nostalgia tour until she resumes in South America come September, Dua Lipa appears to be relishing her much-needed break. Sunbathing during her vacation, the 26-year-old pop star shared a series of dazzling snapshots on Instagram this past Saturday.
Unsurprisingly, she looked beautiful as ever, proudly showing off her exquisite shape in an assortment of stylish, revealing swimsuits.
Dua paired a blue shirt with a mirror selfie, nonchalantly revealing her toned abs. She also dressed in a playful blue and orange polka dot bikini, sunning herself seaside with her face partially hidden behind her hand. Another choice included a chic black and white checkered ensemble, a cropped top, and a skirt that flaunted her lean legs.
Adding a dash of flair, she complemented her outfit with black mules and a golden handbag, while her dark hair flowed beautifully down her back. Captioning her tranquil and stunning snapshots, she kept it simple with, ‘caaaaaaalm’.
These relaxed images follow Dua’s visit to Kosovo the previous weekend, where she was formally recognized as an Honorary Ambassador in a ceremony at the Presidential Office in Pristina. After Kosovo declared independence in 2008, Dua relocated to Pristina with her family, only to return to London when she was 15 to follow her musical aspirations.
The globally acclaimed artist expressed her gratitude and honor at being able to represent her homeland, reaffirming her commitment to leverage her influence to promote positive change in the young nation.
President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu honored Dua with this title, a pinnacle moment shared with her proud parents, Anesa and Dukagjin. The President did not miss out on showing a heart-warming image of her twin daughters, Dua and Anda, getting to know the singer, hailing her as “an aspirational model for young females worldwide.”
Expressing her gratitude for the recognition, Dua penned, ‘Yesterday afternoon I was awarded the title of Honorary Ambassador of Kosovo by our Madame President. It’s an honour and a privilege to be able to represent my country all over the world and to continue my work and efforts globally to see that we leave our mark and make a difference. The youth of Kosovo deserves the right to visa liberalisation, freedom to travel and to dream big. Thank you.’
In another public note of appreciation for Dua’s international representation of her homeland through her Future Nostalgia tour, the President described her as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime musician’. Dressed in a formal floor-length black gown and an oversized khaki blazer, Dua demonstrated her elegance during the ceremony. She was thanked for her consistent allegiance to her country in every public appearance.
Finalizing the ceremony, President Osmani- Sadriu highlighted Dua’s impact, stating, ‘Today, I bestowed the title of Honorary Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Dua Lipa, as she continues to honor our country consistently and vividly. I thanked her, on behalf of all Kosovo citizens, for everything she has done to propagate our voice globally.’
She finished her remarks by emphasizing Dua’s vast influence, particularly on young girls worldwide, and praised her for the indelible mark she has made with her talent and music, always portraying Kosovo in the best light. Celebrating the Sunny Hill festival, the President concluded by thanking Dua and her parents, Dukagjin and Anesa, for their significant contribution towards Kosovo’s image on the international stage and reiterated the festival’s motto advocating for Kosovo residents’ visa liberalization.
