Demi Moore’s scarce appearance in Landman upsets her fans
Demi Moore, adored by many fans, seems to be playing a minimal role in Taylor Sheridan’s popular show, Landman, causing fans with high expectations to feel slighted.
The esteemed actress appears only briefly during each episode, portraying the wife of Jon Hamm’s wealthy oil tycoon character.
However, the series focus primarily lies on Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, and their on-screen children, played by Michelle Randolph and Jacob Lofland. This treatment left some fans disappointed.
A viewer complained, “Where is Demi? It’s rare to spot her on the show, which is unfortunate.” Another fan echoed a similar sentiment, venting their frustration upon not getting the most out of their Paramount+ subscription solely for watching Demi in Landman.
A particularly angry fan voiced their opinion in demanding more screen time for Demi, implying she’s not merely an accessory but the leading star in the show.
The show also stars Kayla Wallace and Paulina Chavez in supporting roles–though Demi turns heads in a black swimsuit, shared briefly in glimpses of her high-life Texan mansion, in the inaugural episode.
Even though her overt revealing scene was blurred, she was seen gallantly watched by her rich oil mogul husband portrayed by Hamm. Despite the brief encounter at a fancy dinner with Hamm, Demi remained silent. Regardless, the scene secured the impression she is gleefully married.
The series, aired on Paramount+, casts Thornton as a crisis executive Tommy Norris and Larter, his ex-wife, as the central characters. Sunday’s episode saw a trifle more of Demi, as she entertained Billy’s character at her gigantic mansion.
Moore seems to be slotted into supporting roles currently along with Hamm, but things might change as the series progresses. In the show, Demi portrays Cami, the better half to Monty (Hamm), one of Texas’s most influential oil barons.
The storyline, revolving around the gripping life of roughnecks and rash billionaires attempting to amass wealth through oil business, is set deep in West Texas, where oil rigs sprout all over the state. The storyline revolves around Tommy Norris’s efforts to clinch the top spot for his company in the midst of a fueling boom.
The unique charm of Landman, just like Yellowstone, is that it is set in the present day. The fascinating plotline draws inspiration from the well-liked podcast Boomtown that chronicled a 21st-century oil boom in western Texas.
The first two episodes primarily focused on the chaotic life of Tommy, depicted chain-smoking and consuming liquor. His life in Midland, Texas, is laden with stress given the abundant oil fields to oversee and his ex-wife and spirited teenage daughter returning into his life.
Although they might only have supporting roles now, the dynamics might change as we delve deeper into the heart of West Texas. Let’s hope the fans’ plea for more Demi Moore would be answered in the forthcoming episodes!
