Being a rising star in the world of music, one would naturally assume her journeys are painted with luxury and style. Well, nothing could be more true for Dua Lipa. She recently treated her fans to a tantalizing glimpse of her trip to Mexico City, showcasing not just her fabulous moments with friends but also the brilliantly quirky Airbnb she chose as her domicile.
The 25-year-old sensation, known for her global hit ‘Levitating’, shared snaps of her stay at an Airbnb called Quetzalcoatl’s Nest, a name borrowed from an ancient Mesoamerican deity known as the feathered or plumed serpent.
The rare and vibrant Airbnb, priced at $359 per night, is a marvel of architecture, manifesting as a peculiar, snake-like structure partially buried into the earth, dotted with miniature porthole windows. Arguably, one might view it as more of an art installation than a house.
Designed by renowned architect Javier Senosiain, this 4-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom dwelling is enveloped in lush greenery on the outside which gives a feeling of being nestled within the earth’s bosom.
By no means, however, is the inside of the house dim. Contrarily, it exudes opulence with sprawling gardens, hammocks, golden hand-shaped chairs, a rustic wood coffee table, and gorgeous stained-glass doors. ‘Dream,’ the singer commented under the post, followed by house and plant emojis, subtly summarizing her stay in the whimsically endearing abode.
In her photo series from the trip, Lipa also included selfies in which she sported a chic cropped jacket and miniskirt set from Casa brand. The strikingly colorful outfit flaunted her long legs and toned midriff.
She chose to elevate her captivating ensemble with yellow sunglasses, and numerous rings adding bling to her get-up. Her long, dark locks falling freely over her back and her voguish purse complemented her look perfectly.
In the other photos, the London-born singer oozed a unique charm with her long pigtail braids, a sassy off-the-shoulder top, and mini shorts, all in black. She embellished her look with an array of vibrant bangles and matching rings.
Apart from her own photos, she also shared pictures of her friends and the mouthwatering food they indulged in during the vacation.
The entire gallery pulsed with fun and jubilation. As she captioned it, ‘gals jus wanna have fun and spicy mezcal margssss’ – soaring spirits and catchy rhythms aptly sum up their time in Mexico.
Fresh from her vacation, Lipa is all set to tread new paths. She is gearing up to star alongside Henry Cavill and Samuel L. Jackson in Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming spy thriller Argylle, currently in pre-production.
