Having recently dropped her latest album ‘Radical Optimism’, acclaimed singer-songwriter Dua Lipa opened up about her revelation moment in the music industry. According to Lipa, her epiphany materialized in the form of a song titled โIllusionโ from the album, which embodies the essence of radical optimism.
During a candid interview, Lipa unveiled that she had experienced an immense surge of strength while penning down the lyrics of โIllusionโ. This was the critical juncture where her intuition, creativity, and ambition synergistically converged, leading to the creation of a masterpiece.
Lipa further elaborated the experience in her own words, โIt was as if I had suddenly found a reference point to bounce off of. During the initial week, I not only penned โIllusionโ, but also crafted โHappy for Youโ โ two widely-differing songs sharing the same universe.
Despite being grander and more emotional than my usual works, I wouldnโt directly classify โHappy for Youโ as a ballad. It’s more like a raw and vulnerable expression of my experiences that still manage to remain within the sonic boundary of my signature.โ
Lipa described this phase of song-writing as a period marked by absolute vulnerability and honesty, mirroring her life at that juncture. โThis album reflected my personal evolution as I found myself maturing, not only as an artist but also as an individual,โ Lipa asserted.
