After making several transitions between Kosovo and the United Kingdom owing to the unpredictable situation in the Balkans, the Lipa family finally returned to their ancestral homeland. However, the story took a sharp turn when a 15-year-old Dua resolved to chase her passion for singing back in London, hungry for the wider recognition that eluded her in Kosovo.

In Dua’s own words, “At just 15, I left Kosovo for London, not out of whim but out of a deep-set desire to explore the vast opportunities in music London held.
